SCOTTYS DIARY
MARCH
March is
the month of Celtic Saints Days. Whether you're having a party or just
raising a glass in honor of St. David or St. Patrick here are some
ideas to help with your celebrations.
March 1st .....St Davids Day
March
1st is Saint David's Day, the National Holiday of Wales, a day to
celebrate for the Welsh and Americans of Welsh descent. Saint
David, Dewi Sant in Welsh, lived in the 6th Century and is unique among
British saints in that a surprising amount of information was recorded
about his life.
Dewi Sant was renowned as a
teacher who
founded
monastic settlements and churches in mostly pagan Wales, Cornwall and
Brittany. Dewi
Sant's
last sermon was recorded as including the words, "Do the little things
that you have seen me do and heard about.... Do the little things in
life," and this phrase, "Gwnewch y pethau bychain mewn bywyd," ("Do the
little things in life") is a
phrase used today.

Saint
Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. His feast day is celebrated on
the 17th of March which is a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and a
public holiday in the Republic of Ireland and parts of Canada. He is
widely credited with introducing Christianity to Ireland. He is also
said to have banished snakes from the island. St. Patricks day is
celebrated all over the world and nowhere more enthusiastically than
here in the United States.

Hi Everyone,
First of all, thank you for visiting my website. A new feature of my site is going to be this page, simply called “My Diary”. The purpose of this page is to provide you with some interesting information, all related to beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. When one thinks of a bartender, the first thing that comes to mind is alcohol. Granted, this is primarily what we prepare and serve, but we also prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages as well that are quite tasty and refreshing. This page will offer you some recipe's that you may want to try yourself. Or, you may wish to purchase the products necessary for your next party, and have the bartender prepare the drink for you and your guests instead.
Also, you will find relevant links that are informative, interesting, and fun. I will find current events occurring around the globe that pertain to the joy and celebration of consuming beverages.
If you have suggestions for what you would like to see on this page, feel free to email me with those suggestions to:-
